HEMET, Calif. (AP) — Authorities say a woman was fatally shot and four other people were wounded during a fight in a Southern California neighborhood.

The violence erupted Tuesday evening in the Riverside County city of Hemet.

Police say no one has been arrested and the motive is unknown. Police say 911 operators received calls about a group of females fighting and then reports of gunfire.

Officers found three adults with gunshot wounds at the scene and a hospital reported two more victims had made their way there.

A 27-year-old woman died at a trauma center.

Police say there was no immediate evidence the shooting was gang-related.
