HAYFORK, Calif. - Trinity county deputies are searching for the suspects who robbed five people in a Hayfork home early Sunday morning.
On May 3, 2020, at about 7 a.m., deputies received a call about a home invasion robbery in the Hayfork area, (no specific address was provided).
Deputies, as well as officers from the California Highway Patrol, immediately responded to the home.
When officers arrived they found five people bound with zip ties during the home invasion, one of them seriously hurt on the head and face.
An ambulance took the victim who had injuries to a nearby hospital, where they were treated for their injuries and later released.
Deputies say they believe there are three to five suspects involved in this case, all were seen by the victims wearing masks.
The suspects stole cash and a vehicle described as a 2012 white Toyota Tacoma with a California license plate of 67426Z1.
The victims also say one of the suspects was armed with a handgun.
As of May 5, 2020, deputies are investigating the scene where it took place to gather any DNA evidence.
If there are any items to process it will be sent to the California Department of Justice.
