Humboldt County man finds loaded assault rifles

Humboldt County, Calif.--A Humboldt county man made a surprising discovery while walking his dogs along the Van Duzen River Bar south of Old State Highway 36.

Humboldt County, Calif.--A Humboldt county man made a surprising discovery while walking his dogs along the Van Duzen River Bar south of Old State Highway 36.

The Humboldt county Sheriff’s office said that he found two cases and inside of them were five illegal, loaded assault rifles, ammunition and several high-capacity magazines.

Nearly all of the firearms did not have a manufacturer’s serial number, and they're now asking for the public's help in finding who they may belong to.
