Plenty of sunshine, and very warm temperatures are on tap for the start of your work week, and it doesn't look like much else is on the way for your work week. Gusty North winds are elevating concern for fire danger across the region, and fire danger is in the moderate to high range for at least today. Sustained winds will top out up to 20mph out of the North in the valley, and up to 15mph out of the Northeast in the mountains. Gusts will top out between 25 to 30mph out of the North today. Humidity will also be a concern, as most areas are expected to have humidity values bottoming out in the 15 to 30 percent range this afternoon.

Temperatures are starting out in the high 50's to mid 60's in the valley, while mountain areas are mostly in the 30's and 40's for the start of the day. High temperatures are projected to climb into the high 80's to low 90's in the valley, and into the low 70's to low 80's in the mountains. Very similar conditions will continue for the next several days. The only change on the way looks to be a very modest drop in temperatures for the end of the work week. Valley areas will end up in the mid to high 80's from Thursday through Sunday, while mountain areas will stay in the low 70's to low 80's. Valley areas are expected to be back in the high 80's to low 90's by Sunday.

The first wave of rain, snow and wind has moved over California, but many more chances for rain, snow and gusty wind are in our short term and long term forecast. After a relatively quiet evening, we can expect more rain and snow starting early Thursday morning.
