Warmer air has settled into NorCal very nicely! Sunday's afternoon highs in the Valley saw upper 70°s, and were 10-15° warmer than the 60°s we saw on Saturday. Mountains/Foothills had 50°s on Saturday, but warmed into the 60°s and 70°s today. Down-slope North winds have helped to push temps a little warmer for Sunday. We'll keep this warming trend going into the start of the work week, but then more appropriate Fall weather will return quickly.
Monday and Tuesday will even see some early Summer-like weather. Valley high temps will push their way towards 90° with Mtns/Foothills warming into the 60°s and 70°s. Lots of sunshine in the forecast as high pressure strengthens across the region and pushes the clouds away. Not really seeing any kind of wet weather coming our way in the long-range forecast. "Cooler" air works back into California through the rest of the week, but we should still remain mild just more seasonal. Valley will see highs fall about another 5-10° from the start of the week until Friday and the coming weekend.
More of the mid 70° to low 80° high temp days coming for the weekend, but a more normal Fall forecast as we head into the final weekend of October. Even though it will be cooler, the forecast still looks pleasant. Looking out at Halloween, right now the forecast is mostly sunny with some warmer temps returning. You may be able to start Trick-or-Treating in shorts and a t-shirt for the afternoon, but jackets are looking good for after sunset candy seeking!
