Chico High reacts to Almond Bowl victory

The Chico High football team defeated rival Pleasant Valley 23-3 to win the 47th Almond Bowl.

Senior Kavon Samuels had a monster game for the Panthers, totaling 270 yards with three touchdowns and an interception on defense.

It's Chico's first win in the rivalry affair since 2014.

As expected a lot more smoke has poured over the California Central Valley from the Dixie Fire, and our air quality has worsened significantly. We can expect hotter weather this weekend, and the smoke will linger, too.
