4 sibling kittens rescued from North Complex fire zone

A tiny kitten with a burned nose and whiskers was rescued from the North Complex fire zone with its three siblings.

BUTTE COUNTY, Calif. - A tiny kitten with a burned nose and whiskers was rescued from the North Complex fire zone with its three siblings.

The North Valley Animal Disaster Group (NVADG) said as they were on their way out of the field, Ida Tan and Faith Jewell, of CAL FIRE, flagged them down and noticed four tiny kittens in their arms.

"The firefighters explained how they heard their meows and found them huddled together, exhausted, and suffering from minor burns," shared the NVADG. "We brought the kittens directly to a local veterinarian for assessment and treatment. They are thriving and getting stronger each day."

The four little survivors will be up for adoption after a 30-day waiting period. For adoption information, click here.
