One Safe Place's 31st annual crab feed kicked off Saturday!
Action News Now was in Anderson earlier that day getting a sneak peek at what the event had to offer.
Our crews found hundreds of volunteers preparing for the event which aims to help women who are in need of shelter, and counseling.
The crab feed consists of an auction and lots of eating which is in part cooked by the Anderson Rotary Club.
“We make 125 gallons to serve 1,200 people absolutely homegrown chowder it's wonderful we have a great time. And we enjoy helping them out,” said Dennis Patterson, a member from ARC.
Hundreds of people were expected to attend the event.
