Power back on for 3,000 north Chico PG&E customers after a car crashed into power pole

A car crash near E. Lassen and Burnap Ave. took out power to more than 3,000 PG&E customers.

Update 11:25 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 1, 2021 - Power was restored overnight to all of the remaining 386 PG&E customers.

CHICO, Calif. - Power is out for more than 3,000 Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) customers after a vehicle crashed into a power pole on E. Lassen near Burnap Ave.

This incident occurred at 11:08 a.m. on Saturday, according to PG&E. The company estimates the 3,026 customers in the north Chico area that have been impacted will have power restored by 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.

If you plan to drive on E. Lassen near Burnap try to take an alternate route.
