PALERMO, Calif. – Three juveniles were arrested following a shooting and robbery in Palermo that sent one person to the hospital.
On Dec. 3, Butte County Sheriff's Office (BCSO) responded to a shooting in the area of Louis and Citrus Ave. in Palermo where a 20-year-old had been shot. The victim was transported to a local hospital and is currently in stable condition.
Detectives said they located evidence that a group of juveniles conspired to rob the victim. It was determined by BCSO the victim was shot during the robbery. On the evening of Dec. 3, a search warrant was served at a residence in Palermo. Authorities said they recovered the firearm used in the shooting and evidence related to the shooting.
Three juveniles were then placed under arrest on the evening of Dec. 3. The three juveniles were booked into the Butte County Juvenile Hall on felony charges related to the shooting, according to BCSO.
The Butte County Sheriff’s Office said it is not releasing further details about the investigation at this time. The Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with additional information about this investigation to contact Detectives Vaj Thao or Tristan Harper at 530-538-7671.
