SHASTA AND TEHAMA COUNTIES, Calif. - Three suspects were arrested on Monday in connection to a robbery at two separate Rite Aid Pharmacies in Redding and Corning.
Around 4:25 p.m. on Monday, officers responded reports of a robbery at the Rite Aid Pharmacy on Edith Avenue in Corning. Employees said two black men entered the store, jumped over the pharmacy counter and demanded prescription pills.
After getting the pills, employees said they ran from the store and drove away in a gray 2012 Ford Focus.
An hour prior to reports of the robbery in Corning, police received reports of a similar robbery at the Rite Aid Pharmacy in Redding. The Redding Police Department put out a bolo on the suspected vehicle.
The Glenn County Sheriff's Office found a vehicle matching the description on I-5, near Colusa County. During a traffic stop, officers said they determined the vehicle was stolen out of Sacramento. Officers also found some of the stolen pills in the vehicle during a search, connecting them to the robberies.
The driver, Omar Deavone Davis, 26, of Sacramento was arrested. There were two 16-year-old boys in the vehicle who were also arrested in connection to the crime.
