MOUNT SHASTA, Calif. - Three people were killed after a fatal head-on crash in Mount Shasta Sunday afternoon.

The California Highway Patrol says the driver of a pick-up truck was driving southbound when they entered a construction zone.

The driver used the center median to pass slower moving traffic, the driver then turned left into the path of a motorhome hitting it head-on.

Both vehicles went down an embankment and burst into flames.

The truck driver and the driver of the passenger of the motorhome all died on the scene.

The identities of the deceased have not been released by authorities.

Another mostly sunny and hot day for northern California today, quite similar to yesterday. Our weather will begin to change tomorrow, however, as a disturbance brings more clouds, cooler air, and a few showers and thunderstorms.
