22nd annual Stuff the Truck happening today

REDDING, Calif. – A thousand turkeys for a thousand needy families are needed this Thanksgiving and Christmas, and the Good News Rescue Mission is hoping to make that happen.

The Good News Rescue Mission is holding its 22nd annual Stuff the Truck event. There are two drop-off locations: Save Mart 4631 Churn Creek Road and FoodMaxx 1330 Churn Creek Road in Redding.

ITEMS NEEDED:

  • Frozen turkey
  • Cranberry sauce
  • Pumpkin filling
  • Boxed stuffing
  • Canned Veggies
  • Canned yams
  • Potatoes

The drive started at 6:30 a.m. and will run through 6 p.m. Friday.

Organizers are asking for thanksgiving staples such as frozen turkey, pumpkin pie filling, stuffing, canned veggies, and potatoes.
