2 car crash leaves 1 dead near Skyway

Chico Police say that one person has been killed after two cars collided at the intersection of Skyway and Forest Avenue, Saturday night.

Chico Police say that one person has been killed after two cars collided at the intersection of Skyway and Forest Avenue, Saturday night. 

According to Chico police, this happened just before 6:30 p.m. Saturday and witnesses told police that one vehicle was traveling westbound on Skyway just before the collision. 

Action News Now was at the scene and police said the cars involved were a Toyota and a Cutlass, but no other information has been released regarding the circumstances leading up to the crash.

Both drivers were taken to a local hospital, but one of them later died. 

The identities of the deceased and the driver involved are being withheld at this time. 

The investigation is still ongoing.
