Firefighters are battling a 2-acre fire near Palermo-Honcut Highway.

UPDATE 1:06 p.m. Monday, July 29, 2019 - CAL FIRE says crews have mitigated the threat to structures. 

Firefighters are still making progress on extinguishing the fire.

BUTTE COUNTY, Calif. - Firefighters are battling a fire that is threatening structures near Palermo-Honcut Highway.

CAL FIRE first reported the fire on its Twitter page around 12:30 p.m. on Monday

Fire officials say the fire is currently burning two acres of grass, including multiple vehicles. 

Structures are threatened in the 1000 block of Palermo Honcut Highway, according to authorities.
