REDDING, Calif. - Two men from Redding are behind bars after allegedly walking around areas under Carr Fire mandatory evacuations Sunday night, said the Redding Police Department.
According to Redding police, officers found 44-year-old Brian Cordoza, of Redding, walking around the area of Benton Drive and Delta Street at about 9:41 p.m. Sunday. The area is under evacuation due to the Carr Fire.
About an hour later police found 37-year-old Frank Webb, of Redding, around the evacuated area of Cedars Road.
According to police, both men violated California Penal Code 409.5 which describes conditions under which law enforcement can arrest subjects who knowingly enter evacuated areas.
Cordoza and Webb were booked into Shasta County Jail.
