UPDATE 5/15/18 - The Humboldt County Sheriff's Office said Mira Ann Carter, the missing baby, has been found safe and has been returned with her mother.
No further information was released.
HUMBOLDT COUNTY, Calif. - Authorities from Humboldt County are asking the public’s help in locating a 1-year-old girl that was reported missing on Friday.
According to the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office, 1-year-old Mira Ann Carter was last seen at the Humboldt County Courthouse in Eureka with her father, Gregory Donald Carter, 34, whom authorities say is avoiding the mother to grant full custody of their child.
Gregory also has a temporary restraining order, the father and daughter are believed to have left the courthouse at around 1:30 p.m. on May 2.
Law enforcement says the two might be traveling in a gray Subaru Hatchback with a license plate number of 5WW512.
Mira is described as:
• Caucasian
• With blonde hair and blue eyes
• 2 feet tall
• Weighs about 30 pounds
Gregory is described as:
• Caucasian
• With brown hair and blue eyes
• Stands at 6 feet tall
• Weighs about 175 pounds
