RED BLUFF, Calif. – Authorities are investigating a shooting that left one man in critical condition in Red Bluff.
Red Bluff Police Dispatch said they received several 911 calls reporting a shooting in the 900 block of Hickory Street just after 1:30 a.m. on April 19. Callers reported hearing a gunshot and a person yelling.
Tehama County Sheriff’s deputies and Red Bluff police officers responded to the scene and located a 32-year-old white man laying on the ground on Hickory Street with one gunshot wound to his lower torso.
Officers said they located evidence that suggested the shooting was an isolated incident. Authorities said the man was transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital where he is currently in critical condition, according to police.
The investigation is ongoing.
