BUTTE COUNTY, Calif. -- Homes and businesses throughout Butte County have been destroyed by the Bear Fire.

Action News Now toured through areas of destruction caused by this fire.

The Village Market, located in Berry Creek, was one of the many structures the fire devastated.

It’s the only shop in the area.

Fire crews have used this lot to rest and refuel as they continue efforts in making sure the area is safe once again.

Many homes throughout the mountain communities affected by the Bear Fire are sharing the same fate as Village Market.

Cars left on the side of the road with tires melted to the ground. A sight seen in every community Action News Now has reported from.

Places and vehicles their owners had to leave as they evacuated the area in a hurry.

Thankfully, the wind is cooperating much better today in northern California. Our weather is still quite hot for this time of year and very dry. There is plenty of haze and smoke from the Fawn Fire overhead, and it isn't leaving yet.
