If you're interested in volunteering or receiving services from one of the following programs, below are some resources:

Click Here to check out the National Association of Area Agencies on Aging

Click Here to view the Eldercare Locator, a public service of the U.S. Administration on Aging connecting you to services for older adults and their families, or you can also reach them at 1-800-677-1116.

Click Here to learn about Letters Against Isolation to send self-isolating seniors letters to brighten their days.

Lastly, you can call the CA hotline at 833-544-2374, in partnership with organizations like AARP, the Alzheimer's Association, the American Heart Association and the American Lung Association to assuage the loneliness and anxiety that the state's older residents may feel during the pandemic as they are self-isolating.

Stronger winds are prompting a Wind Advisory in the valley today, and driving elevated fire danger for your Tuesday. We'll also have the chance for showers and thunderstorms in the Sierra and foothills. A big warming trend is ahead in your extended forecast.
