In addition to many members of the community, the Redding swim team also suffered catastrophic loss after the Carr Fire.

Six families involved with the team lost their homes. Additionally, they were unable to host one of their biggest fundraisers of the year, which was scheduled for the weekend after the Carr Fire started.

Light scattered showers are on tap for the start of your Thursday, and I'm tracking heavier rain ahead from Thursday afternoon through mid day Friday. We'll have a lull in our wet pattern late Friday through early Saturday, but even heavier rain and snow will return this weekend and persist into next week. Major travel impacts will be possible across northern California from this wet weather.
