MOUNTAIN GATE, Calif. - A fire broke out in the Mountain Gate area Wednesday and it caused evacuations.

The fire burned four acres and forced several people to evacuate the area.

Evacuations were ordered for Tunnel Road and Bass Drive north to Tunnel Road.

"We were thinking that it's one fire and we gotta get out of here. I woke my little brother up who was taking a nap, drove down and all the fire crews were out and it's just amazing how fast they got here and contained this area," said Mike Lane, who was evacuated.

The fire closed Wonderland Blvd. at Bass for northbound traffic and at Fawndale at Wonderland Blvd. for southbound traffic.

Action News Now is working to learn more about what caused the fire.
