Sunset Fire on Forbestown Road quickly contained

A vegetation fire on Forbestown Road at Weiss Hill was quickly contained after CAL FIRE conducted an aerial attack.

BUTTE COUNTY, Calif. - CAL FIRE is responding to a vegetation fire at Forbestown Road at Weiss Hill in Butte County.

At approximately 10:40 a.m. on Saturday the fire was reported as being approximately one-half acre in size and a structure was considered threatened.

An aerial attack of the fire occurred, and according to CAL FIRE, the Sunset Fire was contained at approximatley one quarter of an acre. CAL FIRE Public Information Officer Rick Carhart said the home was not destroyed by the fire.
