Stone Fire: Evacuation Warning Lifted

The Evacuation Warning for areas in Berry Creek caused by the Stone Fire has been lifted by the Butte County Sheriff's Office.

BERRY CREEK, Calif. - Firefighters are working to contain the Stone Fire which threatened homes in Berry Creek, 25 miles northeast of Oroville.

Crews arrived around 10:47 p.m. Sunday.

CAL FIRE said forward progress on the 3-acre fire has been stopped.

Thankfully, the wind is cooperating much better today in northern California. Our weather is still quite hot for this time of year and very dry. There is plenty of haze and smoke from the Fawn Fire overhead, and it isn't leaving yet.
