R-1 Fire northeast of Susanville is 100% contained

A lightning-caused wildfire northeast of Susanville has burned 285 acres and is 100% contained.

SUSANVILLE, Calif. – A lightning-caused wildfire about 10 miles northeast of Susanville in Lassen County is now 100% contained. It burned 285 acres.

The fire is burned on public lands managed by the Burau of Land Management. It’s burning in the Tunnison Mountain Wilderness Study Area.

The R-1 Fire broke out Monday, Aug. 10 around 8:15 p.m.
