COTTONWOOD, Calif. - The Point Fire is 275 acres in size and has been 100% contained, as of Tuesday, Oct. 27.

The Shasta County Sheriff's Office said all evacuations that were ordered in both Shasta and Tehama counties Sunday for the Point Fire have been lifted.

The Point Fire is burning on Gas Point Rd and Libby Lane in Cottonwood. It was first reported Sunday around 9:30 a.m., according to Cal Fire.

The cause of this fire is under investigation.
