Pick-up truck destroyed by flames on Skyway

A pick-up truck fire closed both lanes of Westbound Skyway on Thursday afternoon, according to the Chico CHP.

BUTTE COUNTY, Calif. - A pick-up truck fire closed both lanes of Westbound Skyway on Thursday afternoon, according to the Chico CHP.

They told Action News Now they received a call around 1:18 p.m. saying something had caught fire in the truck bed.

The truck was completely destroyed, but no one was injured. The CHP is looking into what may have started the fire.

Both lanes of Westbound Skyway are back open.
