BUTTE COUNTY, Calif. - The Paradise town council last night voted to designate Nov. 8th as Camp Fire memorial day.


Debris Removal Update

  • As of Aug. 14, 2019, there have been 9,724 properties cleared of debris.
  • The county has certified 4,881 properties as "clean of debris."
  • There have been 157 building permits issued
  • There have been 2 homes rebuilt 

Other Updates

Thursday, Aug. 15 is the first day of school for Paradise students.

The Love Paradise event on Aug. 11 was a success. There were about 20 volunteers that came to clean up garbage and debris along the walkways to ensure a great start for the students. The next Love Paradise event is scheduled for Oct. 25th and 26th.

Valley Contractors Exchange will be holding a Builders and Building Officials Forum on Aug. 30, 3 to 5 p.m. at the Butte College Skyway Center. Building Staff from the Town of Paradise will be on hand to answer questions. To sign up for this free event call, (530) 343-1981.

Paradise Community Dinners are held every Thursday at the Paradise Alliance Church located at 6491 Clark Road, Paradise. Dinner is free and open to anyone.

Question: Any update on trees?

Answer: The Town is still waiting on Cal OES and FEMA to respond to our proposal for a program to remove trees on private property. We have received some favorable indications, but details of the program have not been worked out. As soon as we have information, we will announce the program publicly along what residents need to do to participate.
