CHICO, Calif. - A teenage artist drove all the way from Ashland, Oregon to Chico to help students affected by the Camp Fire.

Faculty and students from the Inspire School of Arts and Sciences gathered Saturday at Starbucks to meet a 15-year-old boy named Lindsay who donated $2,500 to 100 students who lost their homes during the Camp Fire.

Lindsay heard that the school needed help on social media and said he wanted to help out in a big way.

Celeste Cramer, a parent of an Inspire student, said, "Lindsey had lost his home to a fire so it really touched him, and when he found out we were raising money for a school that focuses on the arts he decided to go ahead and make the roses for the kids."

Aubrie Brasisco is an Inspire student. She said, "Everyone is just so nice and everybody is so supportive. It's really great to see this community coming together and everything," she added.

The school also received other donations such as backpacks, socks and Klean Kanteens.
