BUTTE COUNTY, Calif. - Frustration is growing for thousands of evacuees that have been told they cannot return to their homes yet following the Camp Fire.

Butte County Sheriff Kory Honea said that the conditions in certain areas that are still under evacuation orders are still too dangerous.

Paradise Police Chief Eric Reinbold said he personally understands the frustrations that people are feeling because they can't return home.

"I lost my home," he said. "I stand beside each and every one of you experiencing the same frustrations. There are no unnecessary delays."

Sheriff Honea said that many agencies like the EPA, propane companies and the water department are working to make sure areas are safe to re-enter.

Some of the substances that burned are toxic, so each of those agencies must give the green light before the Sheriff's Office will let people back into those evacuated zones.

A toxic substance clean up is set to begin Monday, Dec. 3.
