Forbestown Fire: Firefighters battling 58-acre fire with 100% containment

OROVILLE, Calif. - Firefighters are responding to a vegetation fire off Forbestown Road and Hurleton Swedes Flat Road.

CAL FIRE Butte Unit said via Twitter the fire is approximately 58 acres and 100% contained as of 8:04 p.m. on Sept 12. Crews are releasing air tankers to battle the fire.

Damage assessment will continue, crews remain to check for hot spots. CAL FIRE wants to remind the public to drive carefully and watch for heavy equipment and large vehicles near the fire.
