BUTTE COUNTY, Calif. - Cal Fire is on the scene of a vegetation fire on Powellton Road, above Stirling City.
The Powellton Fire broke out around 12:30 p.m. on Monday and is burning mostly timber and heavy brush.
Cal Fire estimates that the fire has burned around 10 acres and is 50 percent contained.
Cal Fire has multiple engines, water tenders, dozers, hand crews and aircraft working on the scene.
There are currently no structures threatened.
