Forward progress stopped on fire in Oroville, evacuations lifted

CAL FIRE said the final size of the Ferry Fire in Oroville was measured at 6.7 acres. Crews will remain on scene for about another hour.

OROVILLE, Calif. - CAL FIRE said the final size of the Ferry Fire in Oroville was measured at 6.7 acres. Crews will remain on scene for about another hour.

The Butte County Sheriff's Office said around 3:45 that all evacuations were being lifted.

Forward progress was stopped on the fire just before 3 p.m. Thursday. The fire started near the river by the bath house across from the fish hatchery. 

CAL FIRE said no structures were damaged and no injuries have been reported.
