Fire damages 2 mobile homes in Oroville

A fire damaged two mobile homes and an RV Friday afternoon in Oroville.

OROVILLE, Calif. – A fire damaged two mobile homes and an RV Friday afternoon in Oroville.

The fire started around 3:50 p.m. at the Pleasant Valley Mobile Home Park on Oro Dam Blvd. East.

Oroville Fire crews told Action News Now that when the first crews arrived, one of the RVs was fully engulfed in flames, another was heavily engulfed and there was minor to moderate damage to a third.

Units surrounding the mobile homes were evacuated as a precaution. The fire was knocked down in less than a half-hour. Resources will be out on the scene for another hour or two mopping up and investigating the cause.

The Red Cross will be called in to help the fire victims.
