Feather Fire burns in remote Plumas County

As of Aug. 14 at 10:43 a.m., the Feather Fire burning in the Plumas National Forest has burned about 40 acres.

PLUMAS COUNTY, Calif. - The Feather Fire burning in the Plumas National Forest has burned about 40-acres, as of Aug. 14. Crews said there is a containment line around 30% of the fire.

The U.S. Forest Service says the fire is west of Howland Flat, near the Little Grass Valley Reservoir.

Those in LaPorte, Meadow Valley, Blairsden and the areas around could all be smelling spoke.

There are no threats to structures at the time.
