Crews quickly extinguish vegetation fire in north Chico

Firefighters quickly extinguished a vegetation fire near Hicks Lane in north Chico Friday.

CHICO, Calif. – Firefighters quickly extinguished a vegetation fire near Hicks Lane in north Chico Friday.

The fire did threaten a business, PRO Aggregate Inc. but crews were able to contain the spread before it reached the building.

The fire was sparked by a car that crashed into a power pole, according to firefighters. There are no known injuries at this time.
