Community Interfaith Memorial honors victims of Camp Fire

A Community Interfaith Memorial was held on Feb. 8, 2019, at the Paradise Performing Arts Center to honor those who lost their lives in the Camp Fire.

PARADISE, Calif. - A Community Interfaith Memorial was held on Feb. 8, 2019, at the Paradise Performing Arts Center to honor those who lost their lives in the Camp Fire.

Action News Now's Linda Watkins-Bennett was the Mistress of Ceremonies. 

Below is the order of the events and speakers at the memorial. 

1. "One Power" video by David Nahmod

2. "We're Made of Love," by Red Grammer

3. Speaking by Linda Watkins-Bennett, Mistress of Ceremonies 

4. A celebration of lives during the solo piano of composer Thorsteinn Gunter, "Through a Thousand Waves." 

5. A two-minute moment of silence ended by the singing bowl 

6. Pastor Jesse Kearns, First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) 

7. Emmanuelle Sainte, sharing the "Words of His Majesty Haile Selassie I" from the Rastafarian tradition 

8. Celebration Gospel Choir 

9. Ali Sarsour with a reading from the Koran 

10. Amber French with writing from the Pagan tradition 

11. Paradise singer and songwriters Jason and Lindsay Beltz 

12. Reb Steve Margolin, Congregation Beth Israel, with a Jewish prayer
