Beegum Fire in Tehama County 100% contained

UPDATE: The 75-acre Beegum Fire is fully contained as of Monday afternoon.

TEHAMA COUNTY, Calif. - The Beegum Fire in rural Tehama County is 75 acres and 100% contained as of 2:35 p.m. Feb. 24, according to Cal Fire.

Crews said the fire started early Sunday, Feb. 23 off of Highway 36 West and Tedoc Road, West of Red Bluff in Tehama County. 

The cause of the fire is still being investigated. Action News Now will keep updated on this story as more information becomes available

Dry weather, sunny skies, warmer temperatures, and gusty north winds will drive elevated fire danger today. We'll have even stronger winds, but cooler temperatures on Tuesday. Fire danger will remain elevated. There will also be a chance for light showers in the Sierra on Tuesday and Wednesday.
