BANGOR, Calif. - Cal Fire crews contained a vegetation fire in Bangor that injured one person, destroyed one structure, and several vehicles Tuesday.

The fire was reported around 11:20 a.m. and contained at 10 acres around 12:30 p.m.

One home was destroyed with several vehicles engulfed in flames.

Captain John Gaddie of Butte County Cal Fire said 2 people were inside the home. One was life-flighted to UC Davis in Sacramento, the nearest burn center to the fire, to care for their burn injuries. They were in stable condition.

6 to 8 engines were on scene. One air tanker and multiple helicopters also responded, dropping buckets on the fire.

There were a few homes in the area. The grass fire crawled toward these homes, but was thankfully tackled in time.

At this time, Cal Fire said the cause is still under investigation. Action News Now will provide updates as new information becomes available.
