Platina Fire southwest of Redding now 100% contained

PLATINA, Calif. - The Platina Fire is now 100% contained, it burned 340 acres. Firefighters will continue to patrol the area in the upcoming days.

Five firefighters were minorly injured, but officials said they have been treated and released.

The Platina Fire started at 3:47 p.m. on Sunday, July 19, 2020. It's burning southwest of Redding off of Platina Rd. and Big Foot Rd.
