CAL FIRE crews quickly put out flames near Feather River in Oroville

Fire crews are expected to remain on the scene throughout the evening to clean up after the fire.

OROVILLE, Calif. - Firefighters quickly knocked out a fire that torched at least one acre in Oroville on Sunday afternoon.

The fire was located between Highway 70 and Yolo Avenue near the bridge over the Feather River.

CAL FIRE crews attacked from the ground. They plan to be cleaning up the scene throughout the evening.
