Beswick Fire burns 118 acres, 70% contained

The Beswick Fire is burning in Siskiyou County and has burned 118 acres and is 70% contained, according to CAL FIRE Siskiyou Unit.

MONTAGUE, Calif. - The Beswick Fire is burning just north of Montague in Siskiyou County, CAL FIRE said.

As of Wednesday morning, the fire burned 118 acres and is 70% contained. 

The fire is off of Ager-Beswick Road and Desavado Road.

On Tuesday, the fire burned 118 acres and was 50% contained, according to CAL FIRE.

The CAL FIRE Siskiyou Unit is the administrative unit of the fire that was started on Monday.

The cause of the fire is unknown.

There are three fires currently burning in Siskiyou County as the Lava Fire has burned over 17,000 acres near Weed, Calif. and the Tennant Fire has burned 6,000 acres.
