SMARTSVILLE, Calif. — Cal Fire reports that firefighters have stopped the forward progress of the fire.

A total of 12 acres have burned. Containment is up to 20%, Cal Fire says.

Three outbuildings were destroyed, firefighters say.

Firefighters say one civilian has suffered a burn injury. Resources are on the scene to mop up.

The American Red Cross is setting up a temporary evacuation point at the Alcouffe Center, 9185 Marysville Road, in Oregon House.

Mandatory evacuations are underway for approximately 100 homes, according to officials. Cal Fire says the fire is under control but Red Cross volunteers will be on-site to provide snacks and water to those awaiting the all-clear notification to return home.

Thankfully, the wind is cooperating much better today in northern California. Our weather is still quite hot for this time of year and very dry. There is plenty of haze and smoke from the Fawn Fire overhead, and it isn't leaving yet.
