CHICO, Calif. - The City of Chico has a new mayor.
With three newly sworn-in members, the Chico City Council voted unanimously Tuesday night to select Andrew Coolidge as mayor for the term of two years.
Coolidge had just minutes before being sworn-in as a new council member, elected November 3rd to the District 5 seat. District 6 councilmember Kasey Reynolds was unanimously selected to serve as vice mayor.
Four city council members took their oaths during the Tuesday night meeting:
- Sean Morgan, District 1
- Kami Denlay, District 3
- Andrew Coolidge, District 5
- Deepika Tandon, District 7
Outgoing council members Anne Schwab, Karl Ory and Randall Stone were honored for their service to the city prior to the swearing-in.
