Recap: Vancouver vs. Colorado
Vancouver, BC (SportsNetwork.com) - Mike Santorelli had two goals and an assist in the Vancouver Canucks' 3-1 victory over the Colorado Avalanche on Sunday.
Ryan Kesler also scored for the Canucks, who have won four in a row. Roberto Luongo stopped 28-of-29 shots.
Jamie McGinn scored the lone goal for the Avalanche, who went 1-2-0 on a three-game road trip. Jean-Sebastien Giguere turned aside 18-of-21 shots.
The Canucks got on the board at the 5:34 mark of the first period. Chris Higgins intercepted Nate Guenin's pass behind the Colorado net. Higgins slid a pass to Santorelli, who beat Giguere with a backhander.
Kesler scored 1:32 into the third frame. Giguere stopped Santorelli's shot from the slot, but the rebound went right to Kesler.
Less than six minutes later, Santorelli kept it on a 2-on-1 rush and wristed a shot past Giguere.
McGinn scored with 7.1 seconds left to spoil Luongo's shutout bid.Game Notes
