St. Louis, MO (SportsNetwork.com) - Cornerback Cortland Finnegan and quarterback Brady Quinn were each placed on injured reserve among a flurry of roster moves made by the St. Louis Rams on Saturday.

The Rams also reinstated rookie safety T.J. McDonald, the team's designated to return player on IR, to the active roster while signing defensive back Quinton Porter off the practice squad.

Finnegan is dealing with an eye injury and had been listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against Chicago. The feisty veteran, who had missed two games earlier in the season due to a thigh problem, finishes his second campaign with St. Louis with 27 tackles and one interception over seven contests.

Quinn was signed by the Rams last month following Sam Bradford's season-ending torn ACL and had been serving as the club's No. 3 quarterback. The journeyman had been ruled out for Sunday's tilt with a hip injury.

McDonald, a third-round pick in last April's draft, started the Rams' first four games before fracturing his right leg against San Francisco on Sept. 26. The USC product had recorded 18 tackles and two passes defensed prior to being shelved.
