Los Angeles, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - UCLA quarterback Brett Hundley announced Monday he is returning for his junior season.
If he had declared for the NFL Draft, Hundley was regarded as a candidate for the No. 1 overall pick.
"We're going to do big things around here, so let's have some fun and do it!," said Hundley at a press conference in which he confirmed he would stay at UCLA for 2014.
The redshirt sophomore capped off a stellar 2013 campaign by rushing for touchdowns of 86 and seven yards and throwing for two more scores in the Bruins' 42-12 rout of Virginia Tech in the Sun Bowl.
Hundley finished the season with 3,071 passing yards and 24 touchdowns to only nine interceptions while completing 66.8 percent of his attempts. He also ran for team-best totals of 748 yards and 11 scores.
