San Juan, PR (SportsNetwork.com) - D'Vauntes Smith-Rivera scored 25 points to lead Georgetown over Kansas State 90-63 at the Puerto Rico Tip-Off.

Markel Starks added 11 points and eight assists for the Hoyas, (2-2), who rebounded from Thursday's 63-55 setback to Northeastern. Jabril Trawick added 16 points and Joshua Smith tallied 13 points for Georgetown, which will face the winner of the VCU on Sunday.

The Wildcats (2-3) were led in scoring by Thomas Gipson with 18 points. Marcus Foster added 16 points for Kansas State, which will try to salvage a win in San Juan on Sunday against the Long Beach State.

Georgetown scored the first 10 points of the game and never looked back. Starks hit a three-pointer to begin the game's scoring and then ended the burst with a layup just 2:24 into the contest.

The Hoyas later extended to a 17-point lead, 34-17, when Smith hit a jumper with 4:16 remaining and Reggie Cameron's three with 2:23 remaining gave Georgetown a 19-point cushion, 41-22.

D.J. Johnson's layup with nine second left in the stanza sent the Kansas State into the break down 17 points, 45-28.

The Wildcats, though, couldn't mount any kind of challenge over the final 20 minutes, as Georgetown cruised to the finish.
