Recap: Denver vs. IUPUI

Denver, CO (SportsNetwork.com) - Chris Udofia scored 16 points on 7-of-10 shooting as the Denver Pioneers easily defeated the IUPU-Indianapolis Jaguars, 66-45, in Summit League action at Magness Arena.

Udofia contributed eight rebounds, six assists and three blocked shots for Denver (8-10, 1-2 Summit). Brett Olson chipped in 15 points, four rebounds and four assists, and Cam Griffin notched 10 points in the victory. The win breaks up a three-game Pioneers losing streak.

Mitch Patton scored a game-high 19 points for IUPUI (5-16, 0-4). Marcellus Barksdale narrowly missed out on a double-double with nine points and 11 rebounds. The Jaguars have now lost four consecutive games.

Denver opened up a strong first half, shooting 50 percent from the floor, including 5-of-10 from 3-point range, and took a 30-18 lead into the locker room. IUPUI hit just eight field goals in the first frame, shooting 32 percent as a team.

The Pioneers coasted through the second half on 46.2 percent shooting, while the Jaguars hit 42.1 percent from the field.

IUPUI hit just one 3-pointer, going 1-of-9 from distance to Denver's 9-of-19. The Pioneers won the points off turnovers battle, 18-6, and had the edge in bench points, 18-4.
