Recap: Weber State vs. Eastern Wash

Ogden, UT (SportsNetwork.com) - Paced by Jeremy Senglin's 16 points, the Weber State Wildcats got their Big Sky Conference schedule off on the right foot with a 74-67 triumph over the Eastern Washington Eagles at the Dee Events Center.

Joel Bolomboy tallied a double-double with 13 points and 12 rebounds for Weber State (4-5, 1-0 Big Sky), which has won back-to-back games. Kyle Tresnak also chipped in 13 points for the hosts.

For EWU (5-7, 0-1), Tyler Harvey matched a career high with 30 points, doing so on 10-of-17 from the field, 4-of-6 from 3-point range and 6-of-6 from the foul line. Venky Jois added 15 points and seven assists to the losing effort.

EWU opened up the game with a 10-0 run in the first three minutes. Weber State countered late in the frame with a 22-8 surge of its own to take a 37-33 lead into intermission.

The Wildcats continued to lead throughout the second half, and while the Eagles brought the game to within three points, 70-67, with under two minutes to go, Weber State finished off 4-of-5 at the foul line to clinch the victory.

Although both teams committed just nine turnovers, Weber State outscored EWU in points off takeaways, 16-8.
